How to use Miracue

01 · Getting in

Two ways in

With a studio passphrase.

Lumira Studio team members sign in with a personal passphrase. Your scripts save to your own private library, organised into folders, and follow you between devices automatically. No usernames, nothing else to remember.

Without an account.

Press "Continue without an account" and use everything. Your scripts stay in your own browser, on your own device. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is tracked, and nobody, including us, can see a word you write. A starter script called "Read me first" is waiting in your library to walk you through it.

02 · Scripts

Writing scripts

1Paste from anywhere. Word, Google Docs, email: the formatting is stripped automatically while your paragraphs and line breaks stay put.

2No save button. Scripts save themselves as you type. The word count and estimated read time (at a natural speaking pace) update live.

3Every script row shows two buttons: the pencil opens the editor, the filled play button goes straight to the prompter. The three-dot menu renames, moves, or deletes.

4Folders (studio accounts) group scripts by client or project. A deleted folder never deletes its scripts; they simply move out to the library.

5Import a whole document (studio accounts). The Import button takes a document holding several scripts and splits it into individual scripts by their titles, with a preview before anything is created. Numbered or capitalised title lines are found automatically; a plain title line needs an empty line above it.

03 · The prompter

Reading and controls

Text you have already read falls back to grey.

The line you are reading stays bright, inside the reading zone.

What comes next waits a step dimmer, so you always know where you are.

Speed 5

1Press play and a brief three-two-one counts you in before the scroll starts at your chosen speed, from one to ten.

2Tap anywhere to pause; tap again to carry on. The controls fade away while you read and return the moment you pause.

3Scroll wheel and drag both move the script. Grab the text with a mouse or a finger and pull it into position, or nudge it with the wheel, even while it is playing.

4The settings sheet holds text size, side margins, speed, and both mirror directions for beam-splitter rigs. Settings are remembered per script.

5The screen stays awake for the whole session, and the prompter runs fullscreen so the browser disappears.

6Controls, left to right: exit, back to top, slower, faster, play and pause, voice follow, mirror, settings.

7On a phone, the back gesture closes the prompter and returns you to your library, never out of the app.

04 · Voice follow

How voice follow behaves

Press the microphone button and read aloud. A small speech model runs entirely on your device: no audio, and no transcript, ever leaves it. the red dot means the microphone is live The status line in the top corner stays on screen while you read.

1It follows what you actually say. The script only moves when your spoken words match the text, and it moves in one continuous glide, keeping your line near the top of the zone at your own pace.

2Going off script never scrolls. Ad-lib, cough, or talk to someone in the room: the prompter holds still and waits for you. The zone dims while it waits and brightens when it locks back on.

3Re-reading pulls it back. Start re-reading an earlier paragraph and the script snaps back to meet you there.

4Manual control still works. Tap or press Space to mute and unmute the follow; drag, scroll, or nudge to reposition, and the tracker picks up from wherever you put it.

5First use downloads the model once (about 30 MB), then it is cached and starts instantly. Voice follow works best in Chrome; on some devices Safari can be less smooth.

05 · Take your scripts with you

One private link, any device

For guests using Miracue without an account.

Press "Take with you" at the top of the library.

Your scripts are encrypted on your device, and you get one private link. Copy it, scan the QR code with another device, share it, or email it to yourself. Opening the link anywhere brings your whole library back, and devices sharing the link stay in step with each other.

The link is the only key.

What sits on our server is an encrypted copy that we cannot open: the key travels only inside your link, in a part of the address browsers never send. It also means we could not recover your scripts if the link were lost. Keep the email. Copies left unused for 60 days delete themselves, and a button in the same dialog deletes the server copy on demand.

06 · Keyboard and remote

Hands-free control

Inexpensive Bluetooth presenter remotes send keyboard keys, so pairing one with a tablet gives full hands-free control. The same keys work on any keyboard.

07 · On your desktop or home screen

Install it like an app

Chrome and Edge (Windows, Mac, Android).

An "Install app" button appears at the top of Miracue. One click adds it to your desktop, Start menu or home screen with its own icon, opening in a clean window without browser bars.

Safari.

On a Mac, open Miracue and choose File, then Add to Dock. On iPhone and iPad, tap the share button and choose Add to Home Screen.

08 · Privacy

What we can and cannot see

Guests: we store nothing.

Scripts stay in your browser. The optional travel link stores only an encrypted copy we cannot open. We never ask for or see an email address, and there is no tracking of any kind.

Voice: audio never leaves your device.

Speech recognition runs on your device and audio never leaves it, whether you have an account or not. The red dot shows when the microphone is live, and pausing switches the microphone off.

Studio accounts: your library, on our server.

Signed-in scripts are stored in Miracue's database so they can follow you between devices. They are visible to nobody but you.
