Lumira Studio filming on a university campus
Video for universities & business schools

University and business school video production.

An ongoing content partner for universities and business schools, in the UK and worldwide. One filming session becomes a hero film and a run of short-form videos, eight to ten in all, made to fill programmes across the admissions cycle.

We have produced recruitment and programme films for programmes at more than seventeen leading business schools, including London Business School, Cambridge Judge, INSEAD and HEC Paris, through a long partnership with BusinessBecause and GMAC.

The situation

Filling programmes is getting harder, and applicants decide on what they see.

Marketing and admissions teams are under real pressure to fill MBA and Masters intakes, usually with a stretched team and a budget that gets questioned. Commissioning a fresh shoot for every campaign is slow and expensive, and the film dates by spring. A steady flow of honest student and alumni films, made once and reused across the cycle, is a calmer way to stay in front of the right people.

How it works

One filming session. A library you own, and it keeps growing with every visit.

Most schools buy video one shoot at a time and start from scratch each campaign. We work the other way. A single filming session, planned properly, becomes a hero film and a run of short-form videos, eight to ten in all, and months of shorter cuts, enough to keep posting across admissions pages, social and open days. Photography is captured on the same day, and everything is yours to keep, so the library grows with each visit rather than resetting.

You own the films and the footage outright, to use across admissions, social, open days and YouTube, with no licence fees or usage limits.

The process

How a single day becomes a year of films.

Your team gives us a morning of planning and a filming day. We handle everything after.

01

Plan

One planning call, mapped to your intake goals and the programmes you need to fill.

02

Film

A single day on campus. Students, alumni, teaching and campus life, with photography woven in.

03

Build

We edit it into a hero film and short-form videos, eight to ten in all, plus subtitled versions for the markets you recruit in.

04

Own

Delivered to you to keep and reuse across admissions, open days, social and YouTube.

Proof

Films for programmes at the schools that set the standard.

Through a long partnership with BusinessBecause and GMAC, we have been the production studio behind recruitment and programme films for more than seventeen leading business schools, including London Business School, Cambridge Judge, Imperial, INSEAD, IESE, HEC Paris, Bocconi and Kellogg. We now bring that same craft directly to schools that want to own their content and build it into a lasting library.

The model, in numbers · from another sector

In one recent project outside education, a single filming day became more than a hundred finished pieces, enough for a year of posting.

A brand project, shown here to illustrate the pace of the model. The same approach carries a school through a full recruitment cycle.

What we make

What we make for universities and business schools.

Planned around your intake goals, every piece built to help the right students choose you.

Programme & MBA recruitment films

The flagship film an applicant watches before they decide to apply.

Student & alumni stories

Authentic, student-led films, the kind that shape whether an applicant feels they belong.

Experiential learning & campus life

The teaching, the trips and the moments a prospectus cannot capture.

Open day & event coverage

One day on campus, captured as weeks of content.

Social-first cutdowns

Short cuts for the feeds and searches applicants live in, so the programme keeps showing up between open days.

Subtitled, multi-region versions

The same films, subtitled for the international markets you recruit from.

A simple way to start

The Pilot Session.

£3,500one filming session

If you would like to see how this works before committing to a programme, we run a single Pilot Session. One filming session, with part of the cost credited back if you go on to work with us across the cycle. It carries the full session, photography included, and it is for new clients, once. You get a first run of finished films you can use straight away, and a clear sense of how we work. There is nothing to lock into.

Or book a short discovery call. No obligation, no pitch.

“From filming on location and editing remotely filmed clips to animation, voiceovers and social ads, Lumira treats every project with care, attention to detail and insight. It is why we have a longstanding relationship with the studio.”

Questions schools usually ask

Good to know.

What does a Pilot Session cost?
£3,500 for a single filming session, with part of the cost credited back if you go on to work with us across the cycle. You keep the finished films either way.
Do we own the films?
Yes, outright. You own the films and the footage, to use across admissions, social, open days and YouTube, with no licence fees or usage limits.
How much of our team's time does it take?
A morning of planning and a filming day. We handle the editing, cutdowns, subtitling and delivery, so it does not become another project for your team to manage.
Will it actually help fill programmes?
Applicants apply where they can picture themselves. Honest films of real students, the teaching and campus life let someone feel they belong before they ever visit. We plan each project around your intake goals, not vanity metrics.
Can you film internationally?
Yes. We have produced films for programmes across the UK, Europe, Asia and the US, and deliver subtitled, multi-region versions so one shoot serves every market you recruit in.
What if we already have an in-house team?
We work alongside them rather than replace them. Most in-house teams can shoot a little, but find it hard to keep the quality up across a whole cycle. We carry the load when it matters most.
Are we locked into anything?
No. Start with a single Pilot Session and see the work first. If it fits, we plan the year around your intakes at a pace that suits your budget. If it does not, you still keep everything we made.
How do you handle consent for students on camera?
We agree consent and usage with you and every participant up front, so each film is cleared for the uses you need.
